Federer vs Roddick at Wimbledon Open 2009 from London was one of the best match of tennis I have seen. And maybe not only in the tennis domain but one of the best of all the sporting games.

I want to mention that I never thought that this fight between the two majestic players, Federer and Roddick, will have such an impact to me.

I am a fan of the tennis game. I even made some courses when I was 10 and occasionally I play now with friends. But what show and game was today, is out of my imagination.

In the first set the game begun a little boring. All the games were gaigned by the player on serve. And by the end of the set Roddick took a game breaking Federer on serve.

The other 2 sets were almost identical with Federer winning on tiebreak. To mention that Federer in the tiebreak from the second set has return in game from the score of 6-2 in the advantage of Roddick. And he gained 4 consecutive balls and gained finally with 8-6. Amazing.

Then the third set was almost identical. None of the player was not fully capable into breaking the other and gaining the set. And after two sets : 2-1 the score in the favor of Federer.

But something is missing from the game of Federer. I don’t know. He had the capacity to force the victory in the forth set and contrary against all beliefs he missed a game when he was breaked by Roddick and established the equally on the overall score at 2-2.

I think that Federer never had the feeling of loosing the match. By contrary, as I’ve seen he was all the time in control of the game. Even if he let the impression that he is not fully concentrated in game, by loosing some easy balls, missing some other shots, Federer was always in control.

As far as I could see, Federer had a tremendous capacity of visualizing that he can’t loose the game. I am a personal admirer of Federer because he is a real champion. One of the best as I can see in the entire history of the sport. He never, never was in risk to loose the game. He was in control.

And, at the ceremony I saw that he is not so happy about his winning. In fact, he was happy, but he regretted that he couldn’t let Roddick win the match. Because Roddick played so well against Federer, that Federer at some point was almost near of renouncing winning the game. Roddick’s wish was so powerful that even Federer was impressed. And in the same time, Federer was so convinced that he will win the match that he could not let Roddick win. Federer was superior, even with all his mistakes…he was superior.

In the final set which finished with 16-14 in the favor of Federer, the fight between the two players begin to reveal some mistakes to the both player sides. But again…like in the other sets, Federer was stronger in psychic and never thought for a moment that he will loose the game. And Federer did lots of unforced mistakes. And…after many many games …Roddick ceased in the time of his service and Federer breaked him. The break from the final set, the game number 30 from the fifth set was the only break in all this amazing tennis game from the final of Wimbledon 2009 between Federer and Roddick.

Amazing game, amazing men, amazing sportsmen and amazing fight. What a game.
