Afganistan

Jun 14

AH1N1

Nov 5

Between at least 7 and up to 18 billion – depending on how many victims will leave behind AH1N1 virus and the success of mass immunization campaigns – will win the corporations in the pharmaceutical industry this year from the pandemic of “swine flu” . The total was estimated by Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail, which found that, even in this area, companies have emerged from recession.

So far, AH1N1 virus mortality was lower than that of ordinary flu (type A), and hundreds of thousands of people in 195 countries and territories have survived infection. However, the World Health Organization (WHO) and governments of major economic powers (USA, UK, Canada, Germany) insists that vaccination is absolutely necessary. Mass immunization campaigns, including children and pregnant women would be needed to avoid a repetition of mortality recorded during the pandemic of “Spanish flu” of 1918. Between 50 and 100 million people died then – a number that will never be established.

In these conditions, pharmaceutical companies are barely meet demand and doses incurred late delivery occurs not only in Romania but also in USA. For example, only if one of the producers of vaccines, GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the UK, orders climbed to 291 million doses (in August), at least another 100 million in late October.

More panic, higher profits

Vaccine orders in the last months will increase by only four billion revenue GSK, a company with annual sales of 50 billion, while the French manufacturer Sanofi-Avensis profit will increase by 11%, due to orders caused by the pandemic. Another British firm, AstraZeneca, the U.S. Government sold vaccines worth USD 152 million only in the penultimate quarter of 2009.

The increase is dramatic for other companies, production of medicines related activities. Sales of cough syrups, medicines for colds and hygiene products increased by 8% in pharmacies in the U.S., thanks to buyers interested to collect “supplies”. The increase is 19% for disinfectants for hands. Clorox Co. American company. has seen increased profits by 23% (up to 157 million dollars), due to increased demand for bleaching, wet wipes and disinfectants.

Because pandemic, U.S. sales of 3M Corporation (produces 55,000 goods from adhesives in electronic circuits) rose on one of the simplest products … Surgical masks – whose sales increased by 40%. In May, production lines for such masks work uninterrupted and sales passed 100 million USD in the third quarter.

A pandemic profitable for doctors

At least in Canada, the pandemic is proving a “business” for doctors who are required by ministerial order to answer all telephone calls about the avian AH1N1 but take $ 11 Canadian for each call less than 10 minutes. If the patient stretches the question over 10 minutes, the doctor will collect a “fee” of $ 27.55.

I personally believe that this VIRUS has intentionally been created to be spread into the world. I think that they had already an antidote (or a vaccine) before releasing this virus. The purpose was to create this vaccine for all the world and make money from its sale. Money, money, money…it’s all that runs out now the world and it seams that this has no limit.
